We went deep into the No Island Vault last night and found this little gem. This is from the summer of 2014 in Calgary at the Palomino after we had recorded the Better Days album but before we had mixed and released it. Very few people had heard this music yet and we were having a really great time playing and hanging together. Enjoy!

Now on Spotify... again!
Our music has been on Spotify for a while, but from early on we had issues with other artist's tracks being mixed in with our own.
Now that our artist page has been fixed and cleaned up, we are happy to announce the grand re-opening of our Spotify page. Listen, add to your playlists, share, and enjoy!

Coming Out From Hibernation
There's no denying that No Island hasn't been properly "active" in quite some time. The last couple of years have been mostly radio silence, punctuated by the the occasion rare and vague promise that something was still going on behind the scenes. Frustratingly, life and circumstance continued getting in the way of us being able to do the thing that we love for more than sporadic bursts.
And so, here is a little something that we are cautiously optimistic will be not so much an isolated burst but rather part of a gradual flow of new developments as the stars continue to correct their alignment.
This past weekend we got together with our favourite photographer Gillian for a few promo shots to go along with the new EP we posted about previously. Hope you'll be hearing more from us again soon.

In the Studio...
A couple of months ago, we got together for the first time in a long time and bounced some ideas off each other.
A few weeks later, we were in the jam space assembling the bones of some new songs.
Lately, we've found ourselves in the studio, shaping a small handful of songs into something more fully realized.
It has been a very different process from when we did Better Days, both in the creative process and in the execution. Everything is less thought-through, less planned, less clear in terms of what we expect to end up with when the process is complete.
We're as curious as you to find out where this is going.
In the meantime, check out our instagram (@NoIslandBand) for some bits and pieces along the way.

New Track - Heart of the Matter
Well hello there. Long time no see! Valentine's Day is upon us and we thought that this would be the perfect occasion to give you a little gift.
A few months back we entered the studio with our good friend Rob Thomson at the helm to record one of our favourite songs. Heart Of The Matter is a beautiful song about love, loss and life. So, if you're currently rocking the single life, happily in love, or anywhere in between, we hope you'll enjoy this free gift from us. Head on over to our website to get the new track and please let us know what you think!

Thirteen Stories Down
This is a song we recorded during the making of Better Days that ultimately didn't get included on the album. It's a very special song to us, and we want to finally share it with you now.
It's been a quiet year for us on the surface, but we've been busy behind the scenes. Look forward to knew things to come in 2017.
